Active Ingredients in It Works SLMR

Dyglomera®

Dyglomera® is a patented natural extract of African spice fruit (Dichrostachys glomerate) that clinical research showed to improve healthy weight loss and cardiovascular health by restoring metabolic balance.

How Does Dyglomera Work?

Dyglomera promotes metabolic wellness as well as a healthy body weight and composition by utilizing complementary mechanisms that govern satiety and appetite (2).

  • Improves insulin sensitivity, allowing the body to metabolize sugar into energy rather than storing it as fat.
  • Fights free radicals and inhibits LDL oxidation to reduce oxidative stress and promote cellular health.

Bitter melon fruit extract

Bitter melon contains antioxidant-rich components such as alpha-carotene, beta-carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin.  According to some studies, bitter melon may help the body manage healthy blood sugar levels.

Gymnema leaf extract :

Gymnema leaf extract is said to reduce sugar cravings while also slowing down the absorption of sugar and fat in the body. May assist with weight management and managing cholesterol (1).

It Works SLMR Research

Dyglomera Research

ABSTRACT :

Dyglomera has been shown to be beneficial in weight loss (2). This plant has been demonstrated to have several biological features and to have no harmful or negative side effects in animals. The purpose of this human clinical trial was to determine if Dyglomera could lower body fat percentage after 8 weeks.

METHOD :

The clinical trial was a 8-week double-blind placebo-controlled randomized experiment, with a total of 120 participants.  Each participant received either a single dose of Dyglomera 400 mg once a day or a placebo.  Participants assigned to either the test or placebo groups were chosen at random. At the start of each of the five study visits, evaluations were performed to measure weight loss and metabolism.

RESULTS :

Human clinical research demonstrated that Dyglomera successfully reduced body weight, body fat, waist and hip circumference, as well as improving triglycerides, cholesterol, adiponectin, C-reactive protein and blood pressure levels (2).

At baseline and after four to eight weeks of supplementation, sixteen parameters, including biochemistry, body weight, and body composition, were measured. The Dyglomera group demonstrated statistically significant improvements in all study measurements including :

  • Lost an average of 24.5 lbs.*

  • Reduced body fat on average of 10.7 lbs.*

  • Reduced waist and hip circumferences 10.2% and 7.1%, respectively.*

The changes in body weight and composition were accompanied by improvements in major biochemical indicators (blood triglycerides, insulin, adiponectin, C-reactive protein, and cholesterol).  Many biological reactions that govern metabolic health and weight management can be restored to normal levels by Dyglomera, according to these findings and other research (3).

Bitter melon fruit extract Research

May Reduce Blood Sugar

In a three-month study of 24 people with diabetes, taking 2,000 mg of bitter melon extract daily reduced blood sugar and hemoglobin. (4).   Another study of 40 individuals with diabetes discovered that taking 2,000 mg of bitter melon daily for four weeks resulted in a modest decrease in blood sugar levels(5).  Furthermore, the supplement substantially reduced fructosamine levels, another bio-marker of long-term blood sugar control (5).

Bitter melon extract is believed to improve the way sugar is used in the body as well as increasing insulin secretion, the hormone responsible for controlling blood sugar levels. (6).

Can Decrease Cholesterol Levels

In one clinical trial bitter melon extract significantly reduced levels of total cholesterol as well as “bad” LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides (81).  Another study found that giving rats a bitter melon extract reduced cholesterol levels considerably more than the placebo. The largest reduction  in cholesterol levels were seen at higher doses of bitter melon. (8).

May Assist with Weight Loss

According to some studies, bitter melon extract improved fat burning and weight reduction.  One clinical trial discovered that taking a capsule containing 4.8g  of bitter melon extract every day resulted in significant reductions in belly fat (9).  After seven weeks, participants dropped an average of 0.5 inch (1.3 cm) from their waist circumference (9).

Similarly, in a trial of rats fed a high-fat diet, bitter melon extract was found to reduce body weight of the rats, when compared to a placebo. (10).
